What to Expect On Your First Appointment
Seeing any professional for any type of personal issue can seem unsettling initially. But don’t let “no knowing” deter you from gaining the personal transformation that you desire. What follows is an abbreviated typical first office visit.
Where do the sessions take place?
Location: There are several options. They are all listed on your private portal. You may choose from; Office Visit Online Video Online Chat or Phone Call. The portal is a highly secured, private, HIPA compliant encrypted web portal which each new client has assigned to them in order to a) fill out pre-session background and disclosure forms, b) make appointments, c) buy additional resource materials, d) pay for sessions, e) journal their thoughts in between weekly sessions and/or) conduct private video session or chats with your therapist.
How do I gain access to my personal portal?
Upon receiving your; 1) Full name, 2) telephone number, 3) e-mail address we will issue you a temporary username and password in order to access your portal. Whether choosing a video, chat or in person session, be sure to be on time. There is no requirement to bring anything, or dress any certain way.
Can I book my own appointments from the portal?
Yes. Clients can login to view their available time slots for the hour, day, week and month. Clients can then schedule appointments in any time slots that are available. Online booking gives you clients more options and control over fitting sessions into your schedules and increases the ease and frequency of appointments booked.
How safe is my personal information?
Our state-of-the-art service was designed to protect the privacy of all counselors and clients. Our servers are housed in a Tier-IV data center with SSAE16, HITRUST, ISO 27001 & PCI 2.0 compliance. PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards are applied to our internal systems and software. All traffic is required to use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with 256-bit encryption. All users have a unique login, and all user activity is recorded and stored. No sensitive information is ever sent via email, and data is backed up hourly again with 256-bit encryption. Our number one priority is making sure your information is safe and secure.
What is the client journaling function on my private portal?
Clients can log in to their secure account and write in their personal private journal at any time. Clients have the option to share each entry with their therapist and let it remain saved as private.
Is your video conferencing feature secure?
The telemental health industry is growing fast. We offer secure online video and secure online chat sessions. All connections run through our 256-bit encrypted Tier IV data center. Your therapist can conduct secure sessions through their laptop from anywhere in the US with a good internet connection.
